The Practice

A household asks for something no résumé can prove: a person worth trusting inside it.

Ellery Agency places professionals where private life is managed: in homes, across estates, and alongside family offices. We take on a limited number of engagements at a time. We serve principal households in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Park City, and South Florida, and travel nationwide by arrangement. Every candidate is interviewed directly and evaluated against the demands of the specific household or office.

We do not run a database. We run a practice.

Ellery Agency grew out of years spent inside household staffing — interviewing candidates, checking histories, building screening systems, and seeing the difference between a résumé that reads well and a person who can be trusted inside private life.

That experience shaped a deliberately small practice. We work with a limited number of households, estates, and family offices at a time so each search can be understood properly, each candidate considered in context, and each placement followed beyond the introduction.

Private service is a profession. We believe it should be recruited with rigor, treated with respect, and supported with accountability on both sides.

Founder

A name stands behind the standard.

Amanda Safra founded Ellery Agency after years building and leading a licensed household staffing firm in Manila. She brings that operating discipline — judgment, verification, and accountability — to households, estates, and family offices across the United States.

Her work has centered on the details that rarely appear on a résumé: how someone communicates, what past employers actually say, whether a work history holds together, and whether a candidate will fit the rhythm of a private household or office. Ellery was built to keep that judgment close to the principal.

Every engagement is accepted and overseen by Amanda personally.
